Mathematics

Mathematics is an integral part of The Forest High School's curriculum and we place a strong emphasis upon active learning through investigation and problem solving.

Playing a key role in the development of numeracy skills through all subject areas, The Forest High School is an innovator in developing higher order thinking skills across the curriculum. The Mathematics Department, supported by our sponsor SGS, has developed strong partnerships with local businesses, universities and industry, allowing students to put their mathematics to work in meaningful and relevant contexts. Students train as Mathematics Leaders and learn how to share their subject expertise with pupils in the local Primary Schools.

We provide a vehicle for the development of personal skills and attributes, as well as helping to prepare for a wide range of opportunities beyond the School.
