The Forest High School - Our Learning Commitment

We will all be:

  • challenged by our learning
  • demonstrating behaviour that is appropriate for the learning session
  • displaying curiosity in our learning
  • developing independence and the ability to reflect on our learning
  • exhibiting high standards of written and oral communication
  • respectful and considerate
  • developing resilience and resourcefulness
  • making progress in our learning
  • clearly aware of and engaged in the outcomes of our learning

 

Teachers will always:

  • plan for the top and scale down with appropriate differentiation techniques to ensure challenge for all
  • make sure that students know their MEGs (Minimum Expected Grade); these will be displayed on books and used to plan learning
  • deliver a TTDT (Through the Door Task) as soon as students arrive  
  • be actively engaged and moving around the classroom
  • make sure that feed-forward is evident in books and/or in the lesson
  • set and track all homework using SMHW
