Pate's Grammar School

Pate's Grammar School is one of the highest performing state schools in the Country. Pate's was recognised by Ofsted as Outstanding in 2013, highlighting particular strengths in the teaching of all subjects including English and mathematics, Leadership and Management of the School, and for their highly advanced structures for the development of staff.

Pate's is now the School Improvement Partner for The SGS Academy Trust.

Working in partnership with the Trust, they will have a particular focus on developing the leadership and delivery of outstanding teaching and learning.

Pate's will undertake regular monitoring visits to all schools in the Trust, maintaining a programme of raising performance expectations and providing practical guidance and coaching for teaching staff and managers.

Pate's staff are exceptional practitioners. Informed by relevant School Improvement and Post Inspection Action Plans, development and enhancement activities will ensure all schools in the Trust develop a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and learning. Pate's will also advise SGS Academy Trust on the appropriateness of the curriculum offer at each school to ensure all pupils have access to the very best achievement and progression pathways.

Pate's Grammar School has provided invaluable support and rigour to The Forest High School. Through their 'Teaching School' partnership, Pate's continue to be involved in supporting the academic staff at The Forest High School to ensure they are the best they can be.
